Valley Spokesmen club ride held on odd-numbered Fridays starting from San Ramon Central Park and using a variety of routes. Today's ride took us through the Windemere development and then Fallon/Jack London into Livermore before returning along Stanley to Pleasanton. After a stop at Specialty's we returned along the Iron Horse trail.
Valley Spokesmen club ride on Tues./Thurs. mornings leaving from the Dublin location of Livermore Cyclery and using various routes. Today's route was a bit shorter but hillier than usual for this ride series. We headed east to the end of Dublin Blvd.
Every year the new students in the National Astrophysics and Space Science Programme - www.star.ac.za - embark on a hike on Table Mountain as part of their pre-academic year summer school programme. This year we began in Newlands forest, headed up to the contour path and then up Newlands ravine.
Valley Spokesmen club ride on a mainly out-and-back route to Sunol and then up Calaveras Rd. past the reservoir and down to Ed Levin Park for a RR and short refreshment break before tackling 'The Wall' and heading back. Still lots of work going on at the dam construction site with quite a few trucks coming up the hill.
This is one of Table mountain's hidden gems with incredible views of Orange Kloef, subterranean forests, rocky nooks and crannies and a narrow hole that links one side of the mountain to the other!
Outing of the East Bay Casual Hikers starting at Inspiration Point and heading up to Vollmer Peak primarily on the Seaview Trail. We then went down to the steam train area for our refreshment break before returning on the Lupine/Vollmer Peak/Lower Big Springs/Seaview trails.
Valley Spokesmen club ride starting from Fallon Sports Park in Dublin and heading over to Livermore with an out-and-back excursion on Doolan Rd. and a climb of Collier Canyon along the way. We stopped for refreshments at Starbucks on Vasco before returning via Greenville, Patterson Pass, East, Murrieta, and Jack London.
Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek and heading north through Concord to the small town of Clyde. We then went east through Pacheco and Martinez before returning via Pleasant Hill. The track here also includes my ride to/from the start to San Ramon.

After a refreshment stop at the Starbucks on Vineyard we returned through Pleasanton and the Alamo Canal and Iron Horse trails.
Outing with the 'Tuesday U-turn' hiking group. Starting at the Canyon Meadow Staging Area on Redwood Rd., we first headed east along the road to the start of the Bridle Trail, then took the Orchard up to the French, up the Madrone to the Starflower, and then Tres Sendas down to the Stream Trail. After a refreshment stop at Trail's End we returned on the Bridle trail back to the start.
