Put in at Palmetto Leaves Park on St. Augustine Road. High water conditions allowed me to paddle upstream to I-95, i could have gone further but stopped at the vegetation choke point. Turned around and headed to Clark' Fish Camp a few miles downstream. No other paddlers on the water for the entire trip. One power boat and two creek-side fishermen.

Outing of the East Bay Casual Hikers on an out-and-back trip starting at the Briones Overlook and heading to the Bear Creek staging area on the Bear Creek trail through EBMUD land.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the San Leandro Marina and heading north past Oakland airport to Alameda and Bay Farm islands with a stop at the USS Hornet carrier at the former Naval Air Station.

Valley Spokesmen traditional New Year's Ride from Danville to the summit of Mt. Diablo (3849'). Sunny but rather chilly day with the temperature in the 30s for most of the ride. Fortunately not much wind so it was really quite pleasant at the summit. But some fog/smoke rolled in from the east so we didn't get as nice a view as we had expected.

Start the year at zero miles, was planning on 6 miles today, but a huge gator stopped me at the 2.5 mile point on Six Mile Creek. I had just passed the grassy take out on Pointed Creek Reserve when the saplings began swaying like monkeys jumping on the Silver River.....

Outing of the East Bay Casual Hikers in Sunol Regional Park. Starting near the park headquarters we headed up the Canyon View, Indian Joe Nature, Indian Joe Creek, and Cave Rocks trails to Eagle View Road, and continued on the Eagle View trail to Welch Creek Road. After descending .

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at San Ramon Central Park and heading over to Castro Valley via Schaefer Ranch. We then headed up 5 Canyon Pkwy. to Fairway before descending Hayward Dr. past the campus and through town to A St. and then Grove through Castro Valley on our way back up Dublin Canyon and into Dublin and San Ramon.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Diablo Vista Park south of Blackhawk and heading out Camino Tassajara/Highland/Manning to Livermore. After riding through town we had a refreshment break at the Starbucks on Vineyard before returning through Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon.

East Bay Casual Hikers outing starting at the Valle Vista staging area near Moraga. Our start was on an EBMUD (water district) trail and we then crossed Pinehurst Rd. to continue into Redwood Park. We climbed to the East Ridge trail and then descended on Prince Rd. down to the Stream trail.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting from Diablo Vista Park in Danville and heading up to the Junction Ranger Station and then descending the north side into Walnut Creek. After refreshments at Sweet Affair bakery we returned on the same route.
