Portion of a Valley Spokesmen club ride starting from the Starbucks on Vasco Rd.

Group ride by the Feather Pedals group of the Valley Spokesmen bike club. Starting from the Pleasanton BART station we rode south mainly on Foothill to Sunol and then continued on Calaveras to the closure at Geary. Our return to Pleasanton was via Pleasanton-Sunol and Happy Valley roads and then Valley to Hopyard back to the BART station.

October 15th! I had to check. So late in the foliage season and still not much color. None the less it was a great hike. Missy, the boarder collie, was well behaved and healed so close to me that she sometimes tripped me. There was a couple on top and another I met coming down the path just before the top.

Bardzo miło spędzony dzień, mimo chwilowego deszczu. Zostaliśmy oprowadzeni przez właściciela domu w Trutnowych po całym budynku, słuchając o jego historii. W Osicach obejrzeliśmy z zewnątrz nowo wybudowany dom podcieniowy.

Bronst excursie
In de bronsttijd strijden de herten om de gunst van de hinden. Het imponeren van hun rivalen met lichaamskracht en bronstroep, het burlen, is een indrukwekkend schouwspel. De kans om dit spektakel te beleven in één van de niet voor algemeen publiek toegankelijke wildobservaties is groot.

Still can't launch at Outback Crab Shack so I launched over at Trout Creek and paddled over. Six Mile still has trees down so I could not make all the way back more than a1/4 past the pump house. Saw three hungry manatees chowing down at the Outback dock, several turtles and two gators, including a 10 footer cruising across 6 Mile.

Dystans nieco krótszy niż wczoraj, ale bardziej męczący. Sporo leśnych dróg i trochę piachu. Najfajniejsze były bobry ze stacji badawczej w Popielnie. Ogromna ilość żaglówek na każdym kawałku wody który mijaliśmy. W Mikołajkach strasznie dużo ludzi i jakiś taki jarmarczny klimat, ale przynajmniej obiad dobry.

Długi rowerowy weekend na Mazurach z Basią. Nocujemy w Olsztynie, wspomagamy się pociągami i zwiedzamy mazurskie okolice. Hitem dnia były ruiny zamku w Prośnie. Zamek Krzyżacki w Barcianach też zrobił na nas duże wrażenie.
