Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Sycamore Ave. Park&Ride and heading up to Orinda for a refreshment break at Theater Square. From there we continued to Moraga Commons and returned via Lafayette and Alamo.

Monthly ride of the Feather Pedals group of the Valley Spokesmen club. Leaving from the Sycamore Ave. Park&Ride in Danville, we headed south to San Ramon and then out Bollinger Canyon Rd. to its end at the Las Trampas staging area. From there we went south to Dublin with a stop at the Starbucks on Village Pkwy. and Alcosta before returning to the start.

This ride takes on the iconic 130 mile route from dawn to dusk on the longest day of the year? Participants will be taking on this challenege and raising money to provide a safe and motivational place for people in Brighton who are homeless and sleeping rough.

Outing of the East Bay Casual Hikers starting at Castle Rock Park and heading out Stage/Dusty/Wall Point Rds. to Macedo Ranch. After a refreshment stop there we returned on a few different options. Dan led the group I was with on an unnamed trail that roughly paralleled the Briones-Mt. Diablo trail, but on the north side of the ridgeline so we got great views of the Castle Rock formation.

Went on a lovely 46km bike ride along the river in 34 degrees of heat....very pretty countryside, lots of birds but the best thing we saw (spotted by Terry) were a pair of blue crested lizards, the bigger one was about 20cm (the one on the bark of the tree) the other one, on the floor, was about 15cm in length. Out and about in real rural Thaiand today, no coffee house today.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading south to Sunol. From there we headed down Niles Canyon and then up and over Palomares to Palo Verde Rd. then over Dublin Grade to Schaefer Ranch and returning down Dublin Blvd. to Silvergate.

Ride with Eric McIntyre who is on a 7200 mile ride around the country seeking donations to the Lazarex Cancer Foundation in support of people with pancreatic cancer (incl. his wife who is undergoing clinical trials on a new treatment). Today's ride started in Danville where the foundation is based and we headed north with Eric as he headed toward Sonoma today.
