Valley Spokesmen club ride along the American River Trail that goes from Discovery Park in Sacramento up to Folsom. The trail is all paved with a painted center line and packed dirt/sand along both sides for walkers/runners. We stopped for lunch in Folsom and then returned on the trail.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Park&Ride lot in Danville and heading south through San Ramon and Dublin into Pleasanton. We then turned eastward and took the new Stoneridge to Jack London extension into Livermore where we stopped at the Starbucks on Portola. Our return was via Collier Canyon and Carneal to Highland and from to Camino Tassajara.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at San Ramon Central Park and heading southeast through Dublin before turning back north through the Windemere development and into Blackhawk, Danville, and Alamo with a stop at Livorna park. Our return was west on Rudgear to the Blvd. and then south through Danville back to Central Park.

Valley Spokesmen club ride hosted by one of our members in celebration of her birthday. The ride started at the Benicia waterfront and headed up to the north end of the Benicia bridge and down through the refinery area on Park and Industrial rds. and then up Lake Herman rd. to Columbus Pkwy. and the bike trail along the freeway to American Canyon.

Loop ride along the Carquinez Strait starting in Martinez. We rode along the south edge of the strait including the newly reopened section of bike/ped path between Martinez and Port Costa and continued through Crockett to the Zampa (I-80) bridge. There we crossed over the strait into Vallejo and Benicia where we took the I-680 bridge back to Martinez.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting in Livermore in the shopping center north of the I-580/Vasco intersection and heading east over Altamont Pass to Tracy. We meandered on various farm roads in the flat delta land north of town before returning via Mountain House and back over Altamont Pass.

Valley Spokesmen club ride held on odd-numbered Fridays and leaving from Central Park in San Ramon. Today we headed south to the climb on Old Ranch and then rode through the Windemere development to Tassajara/Fallon to cross I-580 and continue on Jack London into Livermore.

Today we headed up to Schaefer Ranch, then under I-580 to Dublin Canyon and up Laurel Creek to Foothill. At Bernal we got on the Mary Kane trail and then rode north through Pleasanton and through the BART station into Dublin for a Starbuck's stop on Village Pkwy.

Valley Spokesmen club ride held every other Wednesday. We start at San Ramon Central Park and ride up through Blackhawk and up Mt. Diablo to the Junction Ranger Station. After a regroup we continue down the north side into Walnut Creek and have a refreshment stop at Sweet Affair bakery before returning the flatter way along the Blvd. through Alamo and Danville.

East Bay Casual Hikers outing starting at the end of Regency Rd. in Clayton and taking various fire roads and trails to the summit of Mt. Diablo (3849'). We returned on a slightly different path to make a loop hike.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading over Dublin Grade to Castro Valley via Sunnyslope Ave. We then headed north of town on Cull Canyon Rd. which deadends at some private properties, incl. a clothing-optional club. Our return included a stop at Bodi's coffee shop before retracing our route over Dublin Grade.

Valley Spokesmen club ride held on Tuesdays and Thursdays with varying routes starting at the Dublin location of Livermore Cyclery. Today we headed south to Verona Bridge and returned via Happy Valley and the Marilyn Murphy trail to Pleasanton and our refreshment stop at Specialty Peet's Coffee.

Pleasanton Pedalers group ride starting at the Pleasanton Senior Center and heading over to Livermore via Stoneridge/Jack London. We then headed north of town on Collier Canyon and Carneal before returning on Livermore Ave. back to town. After a refreshment stop at the Library, we continued south and took the Holdener Park path over to Wetmore and then Vineyard back into Pleasanton.

Valley Spokesmen club ride. Intended to join a mountain bike ride along Shell Ridge Open Space, but once we hit a little muddier part of the trail it jammed my road bike brakes so I turned back. Stopped at the Danville Fall Crafts Faire on the way home.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at San Ramon Central Park and heading south through Dublin and then north on Dougherty and through the Windemere development to Blackhawk and continuing through Alamo to Livorna Park. Our return route took us through Danville with a stop at La Boulange bakery and then back to Central Park.

Diablo to the Junction Ranger Station and then descend the north side into Walnut Creek. After a refreshment break at Sweet Affair bakery we return on a flatter route along Danville/San Ramon Valley Blvd. through Alamo and Danville.
