Starting near the Steam Train in Tilden park we took the Vollmer Peak, Grizzly Peak, and Redwood trails to the UCB Space Sciences and Math Research Institutes then continued on the trail on the ridge above Clairmont Ave. where we had our lunch break.

Valley Spokesmen club ride billed as being 'tandem-friendly.' However today we only had one tandem in attendance. We rode out to Livermore with a stop at the Starbucks on Vasco, then continued around the east side of town on Greenville rd. before looping back on Vasco and 1st to Portola with another Starbucks stop before heading up Collier Canyon and returning to Danville.

Valley Spokesmen Cal-Pal ride featuring climbs past the Calaveras Reservoir and over Palomares Rd. Starting at Shannon Park in Dublin we head south to Sunol and then out Calaveras Rd. past the reservoir to Ed. Levin Park. From there we descend into Milpitas and head north to Fremont with a Starbucks stop on Mission Blvd.

Fremont Freewheeler's club ride that was co-listed with the Valley Spokesmen club in celebration of Walt's 84th birthday. The ride started at Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge and went through the Coyote Hills park with a climb of 'Nike Hill' (a former Nike missile site) before heading back into town for a stop at Anderson's Bakery for lunch and birthday cake.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Park&Ride in Danville at I-680 and Sycamore Ave. We headed north through Alamo, Walnut Creek, and Pleasant Hill to Alhambra Valley Rd. which took us up 'Pig Farm' hill (although the pigs are long gone). Then it was up and over Bear Creek Rd. with the '3 Bears' climbs before heading into Orinda for a refreshment stop at Theater Square.

Valley Spokesmen club ride held on the first Sunday of each month. Leaving from San Ramon Central Park we ride through Danville and then past the north side of Livermore with a regroup stop at the Starbucks on Vasco.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Danville Park&Ride lot and heading northwest through Alamo and Walnut Creek to Lafayette and Orinda. After a stop at Theater Square, we continued up Wildcat Canyon Rd past Inspiration Pt. to Grizzly Peak Rd. in Berkeley and took it south to Skyline.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading south to Sunol and then down Niles Canyon to Palomares. We rode north over Palomares and returned over Dublin Grade and the Schaefer Ranch development.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Diablo Vista Park, heading east to downtown Danville and then north through Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. Due to the wet weather and roads we opted to cut short the planned route over 'Pig Farm' hill and the '3 Bears' to Orinda and instead took Reliez Valley road south to Pleasant Hill into Lafayette and returned along the Blvd.

From there we continued up over Pinehurst to Redwood Rd. and took it to Castro Valley. Our return was over Dublin Canyon and up Schaefer Ranch to Dublin Blvd. and back to San Ramon.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading south to Sunol. After a brief regroup at the RR station, we continued down Niles Canyon and then up and over Palomares and into Castro Valley. Our return was over Crow and Norris Canyon rds. and then south on the Blvd.

Today we headed north through Danville to Blackhawk and continued through the Diablo Country Club to Alamo and the Roundhill Country Club. After a stop at Livorna Park we returned to Danville for a refreshment stop at La Boulange Bakery before heading back to the start.

Outing of the Tuesday 'U-Turners' starting at Kennedy Grove at the west end of the San Pablo Reservoir. We did a loop through the recreation area followed by an out-and-back to the marina at the south side of the reservoir.

Ride and BBQ in celebration of the 44th anniversary of the Valley Spokesmen Bicycle Club. We started with a ride through the Livermore area including an optional climb to the Del Valle Rsvr. (skipped by myself) and returned to enjoy hamburgers, assorted goodies and drinks, and the club's anniversary cake in the company of our fellow friends and riders.
