Valley Spokesmen club ride in the Escalon area. This was our 'Progressive Dinner' ride where we head out for a loop ride and return for a first course of soup, then head out again and return for the salad and main (lasagna) course, and finally do a third loop followed by dessert.

Valley Spokesmen out-and-back bike ride from the intersection of Mt. Hamilton and Alum Rock rds. in San Jose to the summit of Mt. Hamilton (4200') and site of Lick Observatory.

Valley Spokesmen club ride held on the first Sunday of each month. Starting at San Ramon's Central Park we head out to the north side of Livermore for our first Starbucks stop on Vasco Rd. We then continue around the eastern outskirts of town and loop around to the south side where we have our second Starbucks stop on Vineyard Ave.

Starting at Waterfront Park in Martinez we rode across the Benicia bridge and continued through Fairfield to Winters. After a stop there at Steady Eddy's, we rode on to the Amtrak station in Davis and took the train back to Martinez.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting in Danville at the Sycamore Ave. Park&Ride and heading out to Livermore with a refreshment stop at the Starbucks on Vasco. From there we we continued into Livermore for out first brewery stop at Altamont Beer Works on Research Dr.

Ride by the Feather Pedals group of the Valley Spokesmen club. Starting at the Sycamore Ave. Park&Ride lot in Danville we headed south through San Ramon and Dublin before doubling back north through the Windemere development. We returned down Camino Tassajara and looped up to El Cerro and the El Pintado hill before returning through downtown Danville to the Park&Ride.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading south to Sunol. We then rode down Niles Canyon on a special 'car-free' day on this road with one lane reserved for cyclists and the other for walkers. Lots of organizations had information booths set up at the ends and a few at intermediate spots.

Valley Spokesmen club ride geared for tandems, but with plenty of single bikes as well. We started at the shopping center at S. Livermore and Pacific aves. and rode east to Cross and Patterson Pass rds., then north on Greenville on our way to the Starbucks on Vasco.

Backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon with an overnight stay at Bright Angel campground near Phantom Ranch on the Colorado river. Our descent was on the shorter but steeper Kaibab trail and we ascended the Bright Angel trail. The latter also has intermediate water stops at Indian Gardens campground, the 3-mile rest house, and the 1.5-mile rest house.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading over Dublin Grade to Castro Valley and then north over Redwood and Pinehurst into Moraga. Our return was via St. Marys, Glenside, and Reliez Station into Lafayette and then down the Blvd. back to the start.

Starting at the Park&Ride lot on Sycamore Ave. in Danville we headed east through the area north of Livermore and then headed into town for a Starbucks stop on Portola. Our return took us past the outlet mall on Jack London and then into Dublin before turning north to return to the start.
