Group ride by the Feather Pedals group of the Valley Spokesmen bike club. Starting from the Pleasanton BART station we rode south mainly on Foothill to Sunol and then continued on Calaveras to the closure at Geary. Our return to Pleasanton was via Pleasanton-Sunol and Happy Valley roads and then Valley to Hopyard back to the BART station.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting from San Ramon Central Park to Castro Valley and up Redwood to the current 'road closed' sign. On the way out we added some climbs through the Inspiration Rd. area of Dublin and continued to Schaefer Ranch. Our return included an out-and-back to the Palomares summit.

Outing of the 'Tuesday U-Turn' group in Tilden Park. A Figure-8 hike with two loops from the Little Farm area of the park. The first headed west past Jewel Lake and then north up past Wildcat Peak to the Nimitz trail before returning to Little Farm for our refreshment break. We then went east to Lake Anza and returned along Wildcat Gorge.

Valley Spokesmen club ride from Monte Vista High School to Mt. Diablo. Part of a series of rides leading up to the Diablo Challenge event on Oct. 8th. Today's ride was preceded by a discussion of climbing and descending skills and tips by Meredith Nielsen.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting from Balboa Park in San Francisco and heading across the Golden Gate into Sausalito and then continuing north through Mill Valley and Corte Madero into Larkspur and onto Paradise Dr. We rode that into Tiburon where we stopped for refreshments before returning to San Francisco.

The official ride went back along the same route, but a few of us decided to make a loop instead by continuing to the Starbucks on Vasco and returning through Livermore and Pleasanton.
