Hike around Lafayette Reservoir on the lower, paved trail.

Outing of Wilma's Wednesday Hiker group in Redwood Regional Park. Starting at Canyon Meadow staging area we hiked up the Stream and Bridle trails to the French trail and took that all the way to Redwood Peak trail on our way to lunch at Redwood Bowl. Our return was down Madrone and Star Flower to the Stream trail and then back to the start.

Outing of the East Bay Casual Hikers on a rainy day. The group got split up and the leader went back to check on people since the flour arrows were being washed away. Our sub group started back along the trail but then opted to take Skyline road back as a more sure way of returning.

Annual birthday hike & potluck of Wilma's Wednesday Hiker celebrating everyone in the group who has had a birthday in the preceding year. Today's outing was a loop through Briones Regional Park starting at the Bear Creek staging area and heading past Briones and Mott summits.

Test of the TripTrack mobile app. Works ok but the pictures are both placed at the start point, not in their proper places. Also it seems to have taken awhile for the app to have gotten the location and also to regain a location lock after our library stop.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at Shannon Center in Dublin and heading over to Castro Valley for a ride up into the 5 Canyons neighborhood. We then descended past the Cal State - East Bay campus into Hayward before returning over Dublin Canyon rd. No pictures taken today.

Valley Spokesmen club ride to the celebration of new safety markings on Mt. Diablo. Double yellow 'no passing' lines, 'Don't pass bikes on blind curves', and 'Avoid crashes - slow down' signs have recently been installed along with a couple new Stop signs and handouts to motorists. The ceremony was held at Curry Pt. which is just a little past Rock City on the way up south gate.

Valley Spokesmen club ride starting at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center and riding north on some of the dirt/gravel roads through the wetlands. We then rode past Oakland airport and looped through Alameda and Bay Farm Islands with a refreshment stop at the Speisekammer with their Oktoberfest celebration.
