A pleasant jaunt up to Finisterre looking for the cape but finding only the busy busy town.
Nearly seven hours travelling. No wonder I was tired and hot at the end. As I went further south the temperature climbed from mid 20s to early 30s.
166 miles of riding, much of it on imaginary roads - from the GPS point of view that is. Apparently nearly 5 hours riding.
very tiring ride, some very tight hairpins on the way there (the short part in distance not time) and slow moving traffic (including me) on the way back. Amazing mountains and some beautiful twisty bits.
A beautiful and leisurely ride through the mountains up to the caves - and back.
Sharp right from the ferry, explain to the guard at the barrier that my GPS says go this way, through the town, up onto the motorway, then left down the small road.
a crawl on the M25 as usual
Ideal weather for this trip, for once I managed to stay on the right roads. Lots of bikes out today.
Wretched GPS never takes my routes seriously and has a strange love of the A14. Nevertheless, I had some nice riding to the church at Little Gidding, the subject of one of T S Eliot's Four Quartets. The church itself was closed. Very low key down the end of a track.
B1046 both directions is good
I came up against horse riders and horse boxes. On their way to the abattoir perhaps. The mud on the road didn't help my confidence with corners.
A trip down to GH Motorcycles in Colchester on the M11 and A120. Zoom. the bikes there are intimidating - narrow high seats and no indicators or lights. Yikes. Not the bikes for me.
