Quite a few other hikers taking advantage of the sunny April day. We felt lucky to have found a place to park. The track shows only the way up. My phone ran out of battery on the trip back down. Nell, the farm dog, knew the way, and especially knew exactly where she could get a good mud bath though she wasn’t alone in the endeavor. Another dog on the trail also found the muddy spring and was proudly wearing the evidence clear up to the top of her legs.
