End of the Myra Rd in Porters Lake, NS. Lots of trails taking you near the Halifax Stanfield Airport.
Off the 104 past Truro. Old Military town that nature has reclaimed.
Starts near the Bedford Rifle Range. Good trails. Open but not wide. Some woods trails as well. One trail comes out to Lucasville Rd. One trail comes to a walking park.
Paul, Steve and I out for a few hours on trails behind the airport. Some very narrow, not SxS friendly, but for the most part good trails. Not a lot of mud or water, but if your looking for some, there is mud and water to be found. Careful though. Some spots look easy, but some water areas are quite boggy.
This is the route my business, Kaynoe Rentals, uses when renting canoes and kayaks from the Shubie Canal in Dartmouth.
From Dartmouth take exit 14 on the 118. Turn right at the lights and go to the gate. Unload and have fun.Not a lot of trails here. The two legs off to the right of the map are hard to make out. Watch out for the bridge hidden under the snow.
