Story

It
was rather cold when we arrived on the bank of the Semois, just behind the fortified
medieval castle of Bouillon once owned by Godfrey of Bouillon, leader of the first crusade to Jerusalem in the year
1096. We didn’t have to paddle a lot, just let our canoes flow with the river
in a roughly westerly direction, passing by the small villages of Dohan,
Poupehan and Mouzaive. We had lunch next to the stone bridge of Vresse-sur-Semois
before ending our trip a few kilometers down at Membre. After packing up our
gears we ended up our day around a few delicious Belgian beers.
