Story

106 degree day today, so Missy and I felt it would be a good morning for a bike ride. It was special since we haven't been on a bike ride together in a year or more. When Shannon was a baby we used to put her in the rider behind my bike and go around Kirkwood. The library, grocery, all over. We discussed the trip last night and considered all the local trails. Very close to choosing Creve Couer Lake, Missy suggested Grant's Trail would be more covered and she was right! At the trail end was our start with the thinking biking uphill would make for a better return trip downhill. Grant's Trail is mostly old railroad tracks, so the inclines are no more than 3 degrees, but it does add up. Grant's Farm is where we ended up and turned around. 10 miles in all and Missy did great! I think, I really hope, she enjoyed it enough to go out when it is cooler.
