Squashman and I headed out on a perfect weather Labor day to bag two more of the twelve Belknap range peaks that we are trying to complete. The trek up to Piper was gorgeous- lots of open slabs, views in all directions and a sunny broad flat peak. We didn't find the geocache, however. Turns out we needed the clue and we didn't have it.
We then descended into the col and walked up the ridge to Whiteface. This particular trail allows ATV's and the trail was badly eroded and rather unpleasant after having enjoyed the purer Piper Trail. Oh well, we did find a cache. This completes 6 of the 12 Belknap peaks.
