Story
Squashman and I ventured out on a little early summer hiking trip to Mt. Sunapee. We took the Newbury Trail and made it as far as the South Peak before turning around and heading back to the car. It had rained hard the night before so the trail was wet and slippery and the mosquitoes were tolerable, but annoying. We did find one cache on a ledge with a great view down to Lake Sunapee.
It is a small mountain but the trail is mostly straight up. We ate up abotu 1700' of elevation gain in the 2.5 mile ascent.
One think I learned to day was that I am not in shape!
