Story

now know why Sedona is thought of as the hiking capital of the country. Every type of hike is avaialable and the weather always seems to cooperate. And perhaps most importantly, the views are spectacular.

I've probably been on hundreds of hikes, but this one ranks in the top few and I was particularly happy that Triple-E consented to join me. This particular hike had everything - wilderness experience, wildlife, non-stop spectacular views and perfect weather.

The only reason this particular hike had 900' elevation gain is because I took some time out to attempt to find a geocache on Bell Rock. Otherwise it would only had been about 300'. It turns out that I couldn't make it to ground zero as I couldn't figure out a safe route and decided that discretion was the better part of valor and my hiking partner, Triple-E, was waiting for me at the bottom. On my hike up to Bell Rock my GPS came loose and tumbled down a hundred feet. I had to shimmy down a scary rock face to retrieve it. Although it was all scratched up it wasn't broken.
