This doesn't look tough but getting to the trailhead was difficult. Since Ketchikan's mountains come down to the ocean you walk up very steep stairs/trails as you move farther from the shore. The trail itself was wonderful I had never seen a rainforest so lush with trees so large.

I completed my dream to see the Yukon. The trip from Skagway was unforgettable as we crossed up and over White Pass where the gold users climbed at the turn of the century. We continued to drive through British Columbia into the Yukon Territory and turned around after visiting the Carcross Desert and Emerald Lakes.

Along with Don & Sandy we took a boat trip out of Seward through Resurrection Bay. We say humpback whales, sea otters, seals, sea lions, many birds to name a few. The weather was perfect and the boat ride was smooth. The Park Ranger on board was great.

Enjoyed a nice walk around the X, Y and Z lakes in Talkeetna. Couldn't ask for better weather.

Continuing to explore every section of Pawtuckaway State Park in New Hampshire. Today a ranger told me that they believe there are mountain lions visiting the ledges in the NW section of the park. I didn't run into any of those today, but I did see a mouse on the Fundy trail.

First lengthy trek of the season to one of my favorite places - Pawtuckaway State Park. Today I explored the eastern sections of the park which are the lower lying areas. Lots of great marshes and Blue Heron territory. I actually came upon a very large snapping turtle crossing the trail. I gave him plenty of room and told him that Gary said "Hi".

Had a great day with Rexrider98 and Squashman as we hiked up to Round Pond and then up to Klem. The hike to the pond was uphill but very gentle as the path ws strewn with pine needles and wide. The pond itself is large and we spotted two good-sized beaver lodges. We then traversed up to Klem. We had some trouble finding the summit as the trail appears to skirt it.
